Most Starlink performance problems are caused by placement rather than the equipment itself. Trees that appear clear in winter often obstruct satellites once leaves return, leading to dropouts months after installation. We frequently relocate dishes from chimney mounts to gable walls or pole mounts to maintain stable line-of-sight all year.

Wind exposure is another common issue. A dish mounted at the highest point of a roof is not always the most reliable position. In many cases a slightly lower mounting location produces a more stable connection.

Older houses with thick internal walls rarely achieve full speeds beside the router. These homes almost always benefit from a mesh Wi-Fi setup to distribute speeds evenly throughout the property.
